2025 International Conference on Intelligent Data Analysis and Applications (IDAA)
We are pleased to announce the 2025 International Conference on Intelligent Data Analysis and Applications (IDAA 2025), to be held on 5–6 December 2025 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The conference is organized by the Department of CSE, Daffodil International University, with the goal of bringing together scholars, researchers, and professionals to explore advances in intelligent data analysis, machine learning, and next-gen applications.

We are thrilled to announce the successful opening ceremony of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine & Biology Society (EMBS) Student Branch Chapter at DIU! 🚀 🔹 Endless Opportunities: This chapter will empower students to explore biomedical engineering, medical AI research, and healthcare innovation, with access to funding, industry collaborations, hackathons, and travel grants. 🔹 Leadership & Dedication: Huge thanks to the Executive Committee of IEEE DIU EMBS 2025 for their efforts in making this milestone a reality! 🔹 A Grand Opening: The event was graced by our Honorable Dean, Prof. Dr. Syed Akhter Hossain, Head of CSE, Dr. Sheak Rashed Haider Noori, Associate Heads, HIRL advisors, and esteemed faculty members, marking the beginning of an exciting journey in biomedical technology & AI-driven healthcare. CSE department visit of Prof. Dr. Sami Azam from Charles Darwin University, Australia
23 February 2025 Prof. Dr. Sami Azam from Charles Darwin University, Australia, a key collaborator of the Health Informatics Research Lab-HIRL of the CSE Department, visited the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, DIU and its specialized labs. Through this collaboration, over 25 students are engaged in real-world projects, resulting in 35+ Q1 journal publications. Special thanks to Sheak Rashed Haider Noori, Head, CSE and Dr. Zahid Hasan, Director of HIRL for their exceptional leadership in driving the success of HIRL.
MoU signing ceremony with the Human Aid Bangladesh Foundation
05 February 2025 The Health Informatics Research Lab (HIRL) Department of Computer Science & Engineering, DIU at Daffodil International University has officially signed an MoU with the Human Aid Bangladesh Foundation on Wednesday, 5th February 2025. This partnership aims to leverage AI for medical applications by utilizing shared healthcare data to enhance patient outcomes. The MoU signing ceremony was graced by Dr. Md. Moinul Islam Khokon, Founder of the Human Aid Bangladesh Foundation, Professor Dr. Sheak Rashed Haider Noori, Head of CSE, Dr. Aminul Islam, Associate Head, Dr. Arif Mahmud, Associate Head and Dr. Md. Zahid Hasan, Associate Professor, Lab Director of HIRL, DIU. The Human Aid Bangladesh Foundation is dedicated to education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, and social welfare. It works across Bangladesh and primarily focuses on the Dhaka District. Through this collaboration, HIRL will provide AI-driven solutions to support medical applications.

13 November 2023 Prof. Dr. Aktaruzzaman, Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Milan, Italy. He was the former chairman of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Islamic University, Kushtia. Currently, he is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Medicine at Indiana University, USA. He gives his consent to a collaboration with the Health Informatics Research Lab (HIRL) and provides guidelines to our students. A fruitful meeting has been conducted with the members of this lab.
